Sidenote: There are plenty of cocktails where you can sub the lime with lemon and the difference is minimal. This is not one of them, lime is mandatory.
Simple and Fabulous. I kindly recommend muddling the mint leaves with the sprig and lime juice, then add other ingredients. It is dangerously light, sparkly and addictive!
This might actually be the superior Mojito. The gin plays brilliantly with the lime and mint without ever overshadowing them. Because the gin is overpowering you can also let it shine. I made a mix of Hernö's, Hendrick's and Gordon's and it worked really well here. The floral notes from Hendrick's is there but is balanced by Hernö's and Gordon's juniper notes. You also get some cucumber notes just on the very end.
Great cocktail to play around with gins. Highly recommended!
Although this cocktail isn’t very innovative, this gin based Mojito might be one of the most refreshing cocktails I’ve come across on this website so far, in which I could easily make another one and drink it within what would feel like 5 seconds, definitely worthy of a 5+ rating
Stunning. Beats a Mojito any day. Came back after a long day, and it is just so wonderful!! In true Rickey fashion, I muddled the spent lime wedge along with the mint for just a little. Shook it vigorously for 12 seconds, then strained it. Topped with just the right amount of soda, then added the ice which was in the shaker. Fabulous!
Perfect for a sunny afternoon on the first day of summer. Light and refreshing with just the right hint of mint. Everything blends together wonderfully.
Cold and refreshing, but even with a little muddling the mint really didn’t come through. Maybe it’s just the mint from the yard. Drop the mint and sugar syrup and use tonic water, though, and it could be a real classic cocktail!
I would suggest it is your mint or it wasn't shaken vigorously enough. The shaking breaks up the mint and releases the mint oils.
This comes together better than the rum based mojito, very impressed!
