This one proved too sweet for my palate - a bit like drinking a jar of strawberry jam. Admittedly, the vermouth I had to hand was alla vaniglia style (Carpano Antica Formula). I might try with a dry vermouth, which would bring it closer to a Brooklyn. Has anyone given that a go?

I used cocchi do torino which seemed to play really well with the cynar, which I thought was too strong at the first sip but the drink felt perfectly balanced after that.

Bumped up the bout a bit with Old Grand Dad 114° and Cynar 70, what a knockout! I've kind'a got a love hate relationship with Manhattans and this one is lovely. Also it got better and better as the ice melted. Storico, Luxardo, and the fabulous orange zest.♡

Really excellent and a new favorite. It’s as if these ingredients were meant to be mixed with each other. Made with OGD 100, Cocchi di Torino, Cynar 33, Luxardo maraschino.

Simon, please note variation Five Keys. I prefer the Maloney No. 2, but both are excellent.

Really liked. Thought it was missing something but couldn't put my finger on it. Tried a dash of chocolate bitters and liked. Very close to exceptional.

Delicious I subbed Tempua Fugit Gran Classico for Cynar

Pretty close to the Little Italy. I like this drink better. Both pack a punch.

A solid Manhattan riff. I didn’t have Cynar, so I used Fernet as a substitute- seemed to work well as the bittering agent.
