Liked this quite a bit. Can appreciate recommendations do serve over a big cube. I added a dash of chocolate bitters and for me it elevated it.

A new favorite. I've used Ramazzotti and china china in lieu of the Lucano. Prefer the Ramazzotti but think there's room to play around.
Not bad. Used Ramazzotti. Added some saline solution and improved it.
Not too bad but didn't love. Used a fino sherry cause that's what I had.
Made with meletti and loved it.
Flavors very muted for me. Dull.
First two-three sips I didn't like but then it started to mellow nicely. Would revisit.
Too orange heavy
Good but felt like it wasn't as well balanced as I'd hoped.
Pretty tasty. Curious how cherry heering plays in lieu of luxardo
interesting. a little sweet and herbal on the front with the rosemary syrup coming through at the end.
I found throwing to be a little bit of a pain. Probably because not used to it, but it was a damn fine sazerac.
One of my favorite drinks. Look at the drinks and drinking blog for a discussion. Don't understand the addition of saline drops as they mute the drink. Without them the layering is superb.
Perfectly satisfactory. But as many have said, for this many ingredients I expected more layers. Check out mane of needles or autumn negroni for standouts in this type.
I added a few more drops of saline. This also benefits from some time in the class. All in all it was refreshing.
As others said it got better as I drank it. Paired wonderfully with a coconut chicken dish.
Flavors don't blend well enough. Some sweetness might help balance out.
Used lilet rouge in lieu of dubbonet. Fine enough. Wonder if Dubonnet would make a difference.
Really liked. Thought it was missing something but couldn't put my finger on it. Tried a dash of chocolate bitters and liked. Very close to exceptional.
As others said, too sweet. Not enough Suze. Maybe first drink suze was this subdued. Tried a spray of absinthe to balance the sweet but didn't really go well.
Since i can't make my own personal comments any more without subscribing (what a joke) I guess I'll make them public. Finally tried the correct version, think I preferred with cocchi.
