We used Dolin Dry and it gave the cocktail really nice herbal background. Our version was nice but in no way overly sweet.

As others said it got better as I drank it. Paired wonderfully with a coconut chicken dish.

Pleasant pineapple nose. Rum and gentle spice on the palate. Very nice.

This is quite alright... Used Appleton Estate 8yo, Noilly Prat, and homemade (no. 9) falernum... It's begging for a stronger-flavored/strength rum or maybe a split blend of old rum and a young blazer... (4 Oct 2023, 12:32p)

Pretty good! Tangy, the right amount of sweet with a little bitterness.

This was today's choice for lunchtime cocktail. As I started sipping it I thought "am not sure about this one", I though maybe it could have done with a dash of sweetness. Hubby thought the same... but as we both continued sipping it, and it was reaching the end, we both thought it got better, very strange.
