Great cocktail. Like the flavour hints that the ginger and Creme de Violette add. A wonderful anytime drink. Used Simon's Easy Jigger to get the measurements correct.

Typsik sourstil. Även när franska citroner medhavda på flyget från Frankrike används, så smakar det parfym likt sour stilen tenderar göra. Drickbar, dock.

I’m very pleased to know, finally, how much a dash is: .315 ml!

Approx 4 drops = 1 dash. Best to use pipette dropper as comes with some brands of bitters inc. Bob's Bitters.

How does one measure 1/24 fl oz?

I recommend you use our Easy Jigger to measure 1/24 fl oz (1.25ml). Otherwise, this is approx 1/4 a bar spoon.

Not sure when the creme de violet got added but it’s perfectly nice without it (as per original recipe)

Creme de violet added 24/Oct/20as as part of a project to remake cocktails with King's Ginger liqueur. Agreed, works well without.

Nice comparison to the classic aviation. I had Canton ginger so used that with pinnacle gin A liter flavor. Great drink very easy to ask for another.
