I quite liked this, however I felt like there was a just tad too much of a bittersweet note happening in this drink and not enough of a floral not, so I made this again by swapping the Elderflower Liqueur and Lemon Juice measurements around and added 2.5ml of Agave Syrup and thought that this was a bit better, since you still get that bittersweet note from the Aperol, Lemon Juice and the Aromatic Bitters without it overshadowing the Elderflower Liqueur, making it more pleasant to my taste
Lots of layers here, added a twist plus about 2 ml of lime which balanced it for my taste. I can never get the bitters to dash correctly, more like dashed and cursed at least 3 in there.
Really, really liked this. Living in San Diego we eat a lot of Mexican food. This went perfect with a Mexican dinner. The balance of sweet and bitter was wonderful. Would have this again.
Surprised me how the Elderflower worked in this drink, I used Aperol instead of Campari and 1/8 oz. of simple syrup. Usually I lean to Gin but the Tequila works great in this! Nicely balanced with a slight bitter sour citrus note. Very good! One to remember.
Very unusual. Not sure how I feel about it. In my opinion, here are the PROs: love the color, refreshing, tangy. And here are the CONs: the bitter + sour is intense, the flavors seem to be in conflict. Final word: I drank every drop.
