The Better Drinking program

Welcome to Better Drinking, an initiative presented by Ketel One Vodka to encourage bartenders all over the world to think about how their cocktails can deliver a positive impact.

"Together, we can make a difference, and inspire each other to do better by nature, and better by each other, every single day."

With its beginnings at World Class 2018, where the global finalists were inspired by their local community and resources to create serves which showcased better ingredients and methods, now the Better Drinking program is evolving.

Stepping up a gear for 2019, Ketel One Vodka are opening up the program to thousands more bartenders around the world with the introduction of the Hive Collective.

Hive, while suggesting a home for bees is also the term used for "group think" - the notion of a large number of people sharing knowledge and opinions with each other. The Hive Collective is just that - a hub for inspirational community-led projects which are showcased to the wider world. We hope one inspiring story will lead to many others.

The Hive Collective can be viewed below, and check back often as it is growing all the time. It begins with the Better Drinking projects created by the World Class finalists and will develop over the weeks and months to include new projects submitted by bartenders equally dedicated to creating serves using better methods and ingredients that draw back to the community.

Are you making a positive impact in your community?

From raising awareness and encouraging change to making better environmental choices, Ketel One Vodka invites bartenders to share their community-led projects.

You can explore the stories in the Hive Collective below for inspiration and then submit your own project. Once the Ketel One Vodka team have reviewed your submission your story could find a home here in the Hive Collective on Difford's Guide.
