Just tried with Teremana Anejo, Antica Formula and Montenegro. The Teremana Anejo is so vanilla sweet from the aging it's almost like a Bourbon and it complements the Antica so well. The Montenegro adds a candy shop complexity.

Exquisite. I used my super fine strainer jug and let the cocktail seep through slowly. Beautifully balanced. Complex yet approachable. Kudos Simon.
Have just made an alternative along the same lines... 45ml Daddy Rack Tennessee Whiskey, 15ml Antica Formula, 15ml Martini Ambrato, 10ml Luxardo Perla Dry, 10ml Amaro Nonino Quintessentia, 5ml Clementi China Antico, 5ml Water. Spritz of Orange Zest. Obligatory Cherries!
Will be ordering one for Christmas! Together with some Heritage Rum for Damn It Jimmys!
Used Horsham Serpent Gin, Fantoma Vermouth, 10 YO Verdelho Madeira (as I didn't have Marsala to hand), and Adriatico Amaretto. So good!
Bourbon whiskey, Cognac (brandy), Pimento bitters, Jerry Thomas bitters, (+ 4 more)
Unsurprisingly brilliant! Perfectly balanced. Intense spice, warmth, sweetness and acidity. Combined in a Brooklyn's Finest it's genuinely superb. Kudos Simon, Paloma... & Bob!
Candied orange and vanilla. Orange Cream Soda. Made to be mixed not on drunk on its own. More bitter than Cocchi. Brings out sweetness in floral gins if used in a Vesper. Excellent in a 20th Century Cocktail. Worth a look.
I switched up the recipe based on a lack of Caramel Liqueur 5 years ago and have been doing it ever since. 1.5 oz of Bourbon, 0.5oz Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino, 0.5oz Martini Riserva Rubino, 0.5oz Caramel Syrup, 1 oz Pineapple Juice, 2 dashes of Bitter Truth Creole Bitters.
My favourite Manhattan-style recipe. I make with Bigallet China-China in place of the Picon, which I prefer. Also add a drop or two of the syrup from the Maraschino jar.
Have just ordered a bottle from you. So excited to taste. Thinking of 20th Century Cocktails with Sacred's Amber Vermouth in place of the Cocchi.
