A very fine drink. Rich, complex flavor as written by earlier commentators. The ingredients are perfectly balanced, wouldn’t want to change anything!

Indeed overpowering as previous commentator mentioned, though for me it was too sweet, not too bitter. Next time I will cut down on the Montenegro and see if I like it.
Very tasty cocktail. I used Dutch oude genever instead of the gin and that works well too. It’s boozy but also sweet if you ask me. Did a barspoon of Pierre ferrand dry curaçao, but can’t really detect it in the drink. Will try it with 10 ml next time.
Very tasty bourbon cocktail. If you can’t decide between a manhattan and a whiskey sour, you should go for a Man o’ War.
A sweet drink with the obvious floral tastes of creme de violette and an amazing dark blue color. It doesn’t feel like you’re drinking booze and that makes sense because the ingredients have a relatively low alcohol content. Ideal for those who prefer light and sweet drinks. s
The sweet vermouth takes away the grapiness of the cognac, whereas the cognac compensates for the sweetness of the sweet vermouth. A perfect balance. The taste of benedictine is more subtle and adds an overall smoother and rounder taste to the drink. Fine cocktail with a refined taste.
Peated malt whisky, Cognac (brandy), Elderflower liqueur, Absinthe
I tried this with Islay whisky, Caol Ila to be precise, instead of bourbon, supposing that the smokiness would go well with elderflower and absinthe. My goodness, the result is way beyond what I expected... A smokey and sweet cocktail, with a tad of the grapinesss of Cognac and the anise of absinthe. This is unlike anything I tasted before.
