Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
12 oz Horse with No Name habanero bourbon
2 oz Aromatized wine (e.g. Lillet Blanc)
1 oz Lustau Oloroso Don Nuño Sherry
1 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura
2 drop Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History:

To "fix one's flint" means to settle a matter in Cowboy speak so, appropriately, this is a riff on Sean Frederick's Flintlock cocktail (by yours truly in September 2021).

The bourbon presence is subtle and adds depth. Unfortunately, I can't say the same of the habanero part : the bite was lost to me.
