Review:

The classic gin and vermouth Dry Martini made not so dry and a tad more approachable by a splash of sugar.

Variant:

Use pomegranate/grenadine syrup in place of sugar and you have a Red Livingstone, named after London's 'lefty' ex-mayor, Ken.

History:

This vintage cocktail is named after Doctor Livingstone, the famous African missionary.

Nutrition:

One serving of Livingstone contains 177 calories.

Alcohol content:

  • 1.9 standard drinks
  • 27.83% alc./vol. (55.66° proof)
  • 26.4 grams of pure alcohol
