How to make:
SHAKE first 5 ingredients with ice and strain into chilled glass. Carefully POUR coffee liqueur into centre of the cocktail (it should sink to create a dark layer at the bottom of the cocktail).
5/6 fl oz | Monkey 47 gin |
1/3 fl oz | Dutch Cacao white crème de cacao |
1/2 fl oz | Lillet Blanc (or other aromatized wine) |
1/4 fl oz | Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur |
1/6 fl oz | Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) |
1/12 fl oz | Galliano Espresso Coffee liqueur |

History:
The Vervet is a species of monkey with a white body and a black head and this served as an inspiration for this layered, faintly coffee and banana influenced riff on a 20th Century cocktail. Fittingly, this cocktail finishes with enlivening coffee.
