Review

Fresh strawberries combine well with tequila in this fruity margarita. (The strawberries makes this cocktail viscous, so sugar syrup is preferable to agave syrup, and blanco tequila freshens more than reposado tequila.)

Delicious! A wonderful drink for a warm evening; the fresh rather than artificial strawberry flavour made it for us. (We only had large strawberries, so used two hulled and halved -- no problems there.)

I don’t like frozen cocktails except it is really hot outside, but have to admit that the fruit taste is better. So I tried today to blend the raspberries in the shaker with an hand blender and continue with the recipe for shaking. At last for me it is the solution.

Today I had not enough strawberries left, so I used raspberry syrup instead of rich syrup. This also makes a nice variant which one could extend to other (a.e. black) fruits.

We just discussed wether a strawberry margarita or a strawberry daiquiri is preferable and agreed the a strawberry margarita is winning because the tequila blanco give such a nice contrast to the soft strawberry aromas.

Made this again, but substituted Giffard's Creme de Fraise des Bois for the sugar syrup. Upped the strawberry flavour.

Excellent - I made this in the Nutribullet with an extra cube of ice. And mezcal. Tippy top.

Our strawberries were the first of the season and not as sweet as later strawberries. This was a great cocktail. The tastes are subtle and delicate. Would make again the next time I have fresh strawberries.
