Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
16 oz Fernet Branca liqueur
24 dried Raisins
2 oz Rémy Martin V.S.O.P. cognac
16 oz Galliano Espresso Coffee liqueur
14 oz Maple syrup
1 oz Chilled water reduce if wet ice
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

POUR fernet into chilled/frozen glass, swirl round to coat inside and DISCARD excess. MUDDLE raisins with cognac in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into fernet-rinsed glass.

Rich, pungent and not too sweet.

Is the Fernet just to rinse the glass, as the method describes? 30ml seems like a lot for that...

Agreed. I've cut back to a mere bar spoons worth. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Literally, 20 years since I last made this. I'll revisit and also update the photo.
