Ingredients:
1 oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
34 oz Grand Marnier or other cognac orange liqueur
34 oz Beetroot juice
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Agave syrup (agave nectar)
6 drop Chocolate bitters
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. RIM GLASS with chocolate powder (moisten outside rim with orange juice and dip into chocolate powder).

How to make:

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish:

  1. No additional garnish. (The preprepared rim is garnish enough.)

This was fantastic! Used Vida Puebla, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, IOS organic beet juice (which contains apple and lemon juice, I guess for flavor and acidity adjustment), and organic agave syrup. The recipe has a delicious harmony to it. Very satisfying.

Oh, and I used Bittermens Xocolatl Mole bitters. It all just went together so well.

For those seeking an earthy, boozy cocktail quite different to the norm. Unlikely to find it on the standard cocktail bar list so enjoy it at home
