Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 oz Calvados / apple brandy / straight applejack
1 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
34 oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Monin Passion Fruit Syrup
14 oz Monin Grenadine Syrup

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of apple slice.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

History:

Created in 2006 by Gregor de Gruyther at Ronnie Scott's in London, England, and named for Betty Rizzo, the leader of the Pink Ladies in the film Grease.

I used Tanqueray No.TEN to make it and put in 5ml extra lime as i was worried about it being too sweet, spot on wonderful, my wife's favourite of the day

Enjoyed this very much. Calvados was in the forefront. A tad sweet but very nice.

Was concerned about this cocktail, but found it delightful and not sweet (my concern). The ingredients work perfectly together to create a slightly sour and flavourful cocktail. We did use Laird's Applejack 86 which has a stronger apple flavour than our Calvados and it is also 86 proof. Perfect before dinner or anytime in the afternoon.
