Ingredients:
34 oz Fernet Branca liqueur
34 oz Strucchi Red Bitter (Campari-style liqueur)
1 12 oz Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth
3 oz Thomas Henry Soda Water chilled
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange slice wheel.
  3. POUR all ingredients into chilled glass.
  4. FILL glass with ice.
  5. Garnish with orange slice wheel.

History:

The origins and creator of this contemporary cocktail are unknown to us, but it is based on a Ferrari shot and named after Enzo Ferrari, the Italian racing driver who founded his own Formula One team and the Ferrari automobile marque.

Coca-Cola mixed with "Moxie", plus some eucalyptol. Another great use for my languishing bottle of Fernet.

Spicy, bittersweet, minty and all in perfect balance. I used Campari but otherwise followed the recipe. Wonderful afternoon sipper.
