Glass:

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Ketel One Vodka
1 14 oz White crème de cacao liqueur
13 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth chilled
16 oz Egg white (pasteurised) or 3 dashes Fee Brothers Fee Foam cocktail foamer or Aquafaba (chickpea water) or Egg white replacement (vegan)
14 barspoon Matcha powder (ceremonial or culinary grade)
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. RIM glass with 3 parts Matcha powder (ceremonial or culinary grade) to 1 part powdered sugar. (Dip chilled/frozen glass into a plate covered with a thin layer of matcha and sugar mix.)

How to make:

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice. (No need to dry shake.)
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled, rimmed glass.

Garnish:

  1. No additional garnish. (The preprepared rim is garnish enough.)

Review:

Despite a generous slug of white cacao liqueur in this cocktail, it's dry with matcha supported by, rather than dominated by, chocolate.
(Use a chef's ¼ teaspoon/1.25ml measure to ensure the correct dose of matcha powder.)

History:

In October 2025, I tried others' recipes for a Matchatini and came up with this spec. It's simpler but not as good as my Matcha Martini.
