The Kingston is a classic cocktail from the 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book but this recipe is by Frank Caiafa, author of the 2016 The Waldorf Astoria Bar Book, who says, "I've added the touch of lemon juice for a bit of zip, but you could use a couple of dashes of Acid Phosphate or try it without, as they did at The Old Bar [at The Waldorf Astoria]." Frank prefers to use Appleton Reserve for his rum and Combier Kummel.
