Garnish: Lime wedge & Luxardo Maraschino Cherry

How to make:

SHAKE first 8 ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. TOP with lemonade.

Review:

You may recall Hong Kong Phooey, the 1970s Hanna-Barbera animated children's TV series featuring the mild-mannered janitor Penry and his superhero alter ego. This party cocktail is a little better than Penry's kung fu but deadly all the same.

As I was born in Hong Kong, I'd love to know the origin or history of this drink please.

It's one of the older cocktails on my database and sadly I didn't record where I came across it (in the early to mid-1990s).
