Jaspar recommends making a batch in their glasses and refreezing them with the straws already in the glass, like the old colonels and their julep freezers in Kentucky.

I liked it but I felt the balance wasn’t quite right with a little too much Livorno 43 and not enough lime juice

I replaced the tequila with mezcal and for me this vastly improved the drink. The smoky bite of the mezcal is a great contrast to the Licor 43

I disagree with a comment that says "tiki style". Tiki? Just for using an "exotic" liqueur and mint? No, this is a just sour, but a very original sour. Base, Tequila Reposado. Modifier, Licor 43. And the lime. Oh, the mint leaves! I eas acting in a "silent way" and didn't shake, I just poured and stirred not gently at all ;-) It is a very nice sour!!!! Not tiki, but who cares?

Made with Galliano vanilla and Jose Cuervo reposado. A smooth cocktail with a smoky quality. I didn’t find it too sweet. A really pleasant cocktail.

Very nice tiki style cocktail with tequila. As with most tiki type drinks, it can be a bit sweet. May consider upping the lime juice next time. Interesting flavour using the Licor 43 with the mint.
