Review

Don't be put off or misled by the lurid green colour of this cocktail; it is both bittersweet and complex. As the name suggests, it is based on a classic Negroni, with the herbal complexity of Green Chartreuse and a dose of rich green melon liqueur.

Jessamine Levy
With the current chartreuse shortage, I ended up substituting that ingredient with 1/2 fl oz Dolin Génépy. I found the resulting "herb garden negroni" delightful, although those who prefer a slightly sweeter balance may wish to use 2/3 fl oz Midori as opposed to the original 1/2 fl oz.

Greetings Ms. Levi. Likewise I'm using a lot of Dolin Génépy these days as an excellent stand in for Green Chartreuse. If you haven't tried it, Boomsma Cloosterbitter might be an even closer approximation.

Even better ; half Cloosterbitter, half Génépy.

Love this one. Gin x 1.5 dries it out a bit. Have also tried dashes ginger bitters and orange bitters with good results. Iced melon plus peppery notes works well in cuisine so perhaps here? Again love this one as written.

Used Martini extra dry instead of bianco

Fantastic colour! It tastes good too. The bitter and herbal elements spark off each other. I upped the Melin Liqueur to a tad below 20 ml to allow it to express its self.
