How to make:
MUDDLE strawberries in base of shaker. Add liqueur and lemon juice, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass. TOP with prosecco and gently stir.
4 fresh | Strawberries (hulled, small & ripe) |
1 fl oz | Giffard Fraise des Bois liqueur |
1/6 fl oz | Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) |
3 1/2 fl oz | Prosecco sparkling wine |
Review:
Strawberries seem to complement prosecco even better than white peaches so perhaps order this in preference to a Bellini.
History:
Named for the 19th-century Italian opera composer, Gioachino Antonio Rossini. This is one of the most popular Bellini variants in Venice.
