Imagine a ginger-flavoured shandy with a kick – pretty much describes this gin-laced lemon and ginger-flavoured beer-tail.
Adapted from a recipe created in 2012 by Pete Jeary (aka Shaky Pete) at Hawksmoor, Seven Dials, London, England. Pete's original recipe:
35 ml Dry gin
50 ml Lemon juice
50 ml Homemade ginger syrup
120 ml London Pride Beer
The ginger syrup is made by blending 500g peeled and chopped root ginger, 500g caster sugar and 250ml water, fine-strained into bottles.
