How to make:

SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

1 1/2 fl oz Applejack brandy bottled-in-bond (50% alc./vol)
1/2 fl oz Medium dry apple cider
1/2 fl oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1/3 fl oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)

History:

Adapted from a recipe created by the late Sasha Petraske at his famous Milk & Honey bar, New York City, USA. Sasha was inspired by the Apple Jack Rabbit in The Savoy Cocktail Book.

The Apple Jack features in Georgette Moger-Petraske's 2016 Sasha Petraske Regarding Cocktails.

Apple Jack
½ oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
½ oz (15 ml) Simple syrup
½ oz (15 ml) Apple cider
1½ oz (45 ml) applejack
Combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, apple cider, and applejack in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously until the drink is sufficiently chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe.
