Tried with both Havana 3 (the Cuban stuff, not the Puerto Rican stuff) and Barbancourt 4 and despite neither being my preferred rums, the Barbancourt was miles away a tastier and more rummy drink - far more discernible than by themselves somehow.
Truly worth the 5 stars. One of the best fruity Daiquiris ever, with a perfect mix of sweetness, sourness and rum hit. Havana Club 3 as always, works impeccably.
Great cocktail. I would agree with Florian Ruf's comments to adjust the honey syrup as needed based on the sweetness of your fruit and rum. I use rum which has no adulterated sugar added. Many rum are sweetened.
Delicious cocktail! Don't take the honey (syrup) measure too serious, it will be necessary to adjust it to the citrus and your taste (I used less).

I'm confused about the naming of this drink and the Honey Bee. On the Honeysuckle page, it suggests switching out to Jamaican rum makes the drink a Honey Bee. On the Honey Bee page it suggests switching out to light rum makes the drink a Honeysuckle. Both drinks call for Bacardi Gold, lemon, oj, and honey syrup. I like the name Honeysuckle Daiquiri, so I use that when serving the drink to friends.
I've amended my version to Flor de Cana 7 and jasmine tea instead of water to make my syrup
You raise a good point. The Honey Bee should be with Jamaican rum. I've now corrected this and added extra notes on the Honey Bee page referencing the many variations with honey syrup.
After purchasing some London Honey in Bermondsey I thought I'd try some honey cocktails. I was also using Blood Orange juice before the fruits disappear from the shelves. I went with straight honey rather than syrup as I was to impatient to make it! The Blooded Knees was delicious but this was even better. I used my favourite go to Rum, Havana Club 3 Year Old. If this twist is worth a name then for now Miel de Sangre Daiquiri is the best I can do...
