This drink combines the fever quenching G&T with medicinal lavender and flavoursome mezcal from the Mexican territories where us Brits are susceptible...
Love the ingredients! I was looking for a lavender cocktail too. Found a spec to amplify the lavender if interested (this is for 2 servings so adjust the original first): keep all same, except: 3/4 oz triple sec, 1/2 mezcal, 1/2 lavender syrup, 1/2 lemon. More tart and more pronounced lavender. Enjoy!
The list of ingredients grabs my attention, and then whilst I am making it I think "this has got Yours Truly all over it" ...scroll down and yes, it's from the hand of the cocktail king himself. But, it's all in the taste... and this is magnificent!
A new favorite. You get the gin + orange + smoky mezcal + citrus + faint lavender + a little bitter from the tonic + a little overall sweetness. Complex but delicious. Goes down easy. Beefeater was a little subtle, so curious to try it with different gins.
I really enjoyed it. Instead of lavender syrup, I used lavender bitters and simple syrup. And added more tonic about 2 oz to make it super refreshing . Salud? from mexico
I did it without the lavender syrup and its good. I was a bit sceptical to mix all of that together but you really feel each of the ingredient the fragrant and peppery gin, the smokiness of mezcal and even the bitterness of tonic (I used Fever tree). Really interesting.
