I think the adapted version works very well. Maybe with Monin Creme de Violette it would be better to reduce the sugar syrup.

Tried this with parfait amour, very good, the additional orange notes work well.

Reminds me of the aviation. I like it a little less sweet and may cut the simple syrup by half next time. Will definitely make again!

Made it and forgot the rich simple syrup, duh. If I make it again I will not forget and I may substitute meyer lemon juice for regular lemon juice

Not bad, for some reason I feel this would be a very nice shot/shooter. A bit sophisticated but still a nice shooter.

After all the changes over the last few days it now tastes pretty decent! The triple sec helps round everything together and doesn't let the Liqueur de Violette overpower the drink as is possible in an Aviation.

Very nice! A very good use for the creme de violette I bought to make Aviations.

Well, I reduced the lemon by 2/3rds and subbed in Hendricks gin--lovely! But it's quite grey, not aquamarine, lol. I'd say Labradorite. Maybe due to the Rothman & Winter creme de violette? The drink is pretty darn floral, lol...but I like that.

Brand of creme de violette does indeed considerably impact colour. Labradorite is a great descriptor.
