This is my favourite drink for lunch, though I do not even try do it properly. A ratio of 5:1, no syrup, and a splash of lemon juice works fine.

You should substitute it with aperol! And if you have galliano 2 bar spoons adds a good flavor kick.

I also used a high speed smoothie maker and it makes a simple drink extra special. I am not one for fine straining this, as it seems a little pointless when the drink goes in the blender. In fact the extra material probably encourages flocculation, and you get better froth.

The wife gave it 2 stars, for me it’s a 3 for effort whizzing the juice, 4 for taste. I’d like to try it mixed by a pro.

Using a milk frother aerates the orange juice quite well also

Hand held milk frother doesn't even cost $10 but it works perfectly fine on 4oz of orange juice. Submerge, start, lift up to get a vortex going, et voila!
