Just an FYI folks.
This recipe is incorrectly listed in "1967 Cocktails and Mixed Drinks" by Charles Tuck, as a "Waldorf" cocktail.
Cheers!

Revisiting with laird’s 86, Plymouth gin and dopo teatro. Multilayered and so many beautiful flavours here. Be sure to balance plus/minus millilitres for your ingredients. I find Chartreuse quite strong so relatively increased the others, especially gin and applejack. Top stuff!!

I agree with this on the chartreuse front! But still a great cocktail.

Liked this with Dubonnet, an orange twist and on the rocks - it’s rather like a green apple Negroni!

Like an apple brandy-laced Martinez, with the orange influences exchanged for the complex herbs of Chartreuse. Wonderful as a nightcap; though only a bar spoon, the liqueur adds a lot.

Very nice after dinner cocktail. This is a true sipper. Love the touch of Chartreuse.

This was outstanding. Great balance. The Chartreuse added to the herbal flavours in the gin. Just sweet enough to be a perfect aperitif.

Solid five! May add a plus to that with the right vermouth. Made mine with Antica Formula. Looking forward to alternatives. Will try it without the Chartreuse. Maybe.

Cocchi works really well in this.
