surprisingly good, amazing how wild green chartreuse is complemented positively by the other ingredients
anyway, I would say a bit more creme of coconut is needed, at least here in Denmark where our imported pineapple itn't that sweet (I make my own pineapple juice)
so - do try this cocktail and adjust it, untill you hit your balance
SO sooo crushable. I made it with Boomsma Cloosterlikeur as a sub for GC. As this is lower in ABV I reduced the amount of coconut syrup and added some Wray & Nephew for some func.
• 60 mL Boomsma Cloosterlikeur
• 15 mL Wray & Nephew Overproof rum
• 10 mL coconut syrup
• 15 mL lime juice
• 45 mL pineapple juice
I wanted to get this solved once and for all, especially because I don't have an ice scoop.
(I've used an AI to generate this, it would be great if someone could run a little experiment to confirm if this is accurate!)
## Crushed Ice in a 7 oz Scoop
A standard 7 oz cocktail scoop holds approximately 200-250 grams of loosely packed crushed ice[1][2].
When filled, a 7 oz scoop contains around 1 cup of crushed ice. The exact weight can vary depending on how tightly the ice is packed in the scoop[3].
As a general guideline:
- 1 cup of loosely packed crushed ice weighs around 113-142 grams (4-5 oz)[1]
- 1 cup of more densely packed crushed ice weighs around 170 grams (6 oz)[2]
So in summary, a full 7 oz cocktail scoop will hold 200-250 grams of crushed ice, with the exact amount depending on how much the ice is compressed when scooping.
Wanted to make but didnt have chartreuse so subbed tequila. Didn’t find it sweet enough so added a passion fruit syrup float on top. Super good but would like to make the actual cocktail as well.
Just tried this and I found the chartreuse kind of drowned in the coconut and pineapple. Would either up the chartreuse next time or maybe reduce the lime, cream of coconut and pineapple juice.
