To suit the taste of my guest I swapped Campari for Aperol, which gives this cocktail a lighter, summerly note.

I just tried another variation where I swapped the Cointreau for apricot liqueur. It was good, but not as good as the Cointreau.

Not balanced for me me, lemon is too powerful. Next time, I will try to use 15ml Orange liquor instead of 7,5ml Cointreau, and no sugar syrup.

Love this cocktail, and not just because of the name ?
I tried a couple of variations, including subbing the cointreau with blood orange liqueur and with mandarin liqueur. My favourites were with the cointreau and the blood orange liqueur. The mandarin was very good, but not quite as good.

Everyone I make this for thinks it must contain grapefruit, firmly on out favourites list.
