I've come back to this cocktail a few times now and have finally concluded that this is great, I mean really great. Its pretty light and refreshing but the complexity is there, making this a truly memorable drink. I love it.

Love this one. I have experimented with it a bit in the run up to xmas and discovered that it works great if you swap out chartreuse with strega
Very strong tequila flavour but with sumptuous creamy mouthfeel. I would perhaps reduce the tequila a bit and find something to up the fruitiness, perhaps another fruit based liqueur perhaps? But that would be a different cocktail by then of coarse.
I would never have thought of putting creme de cacao with gin, but this cocktail has amazed me and friends who have tried it. Initially I tried it just with Monin creme de cacao syrup because that is all I had, and it was ok, a bit sweet perhaps, but then I got hold of some real creme de cacao liqueur and used that instead and it was great.
I had to improvise a bit with this one because I didn't have any vanilla syrup or vanilla bitters. Instead, I used 15ml of Licor 43. I held off on using any bitters, tasted it and thought it was great without any. It was rich and creamy and citrusy and very boozy. I will try it with Tuaca next time. I might even try it with some marmalade instead of the Grand Marnier.
I used plum jam. Its good. Not too sweet. However it did separate and settle towards the bottom of the glass, so drink it quickly I say!
This is fantastic. I love this cocktail.
I dont think it even needs the sugar syrup unless you have a sweet tooth. I do, so I experimented and swapped it with 15ml of Chambord. Wow!
I had to sweeten this to my taste.
Perhaps going up a bit with the St. Germaine would have a similar effect?
This is really great, I made it with Steinbock Watermelon Liqueur. It was not as red coloured as shown in the picture here, more a sort of slightly pinkish yellowish green colour, the green coming from the freshly squeezed lime juice probably.
