Review:

Brandy and advocaat (the eggy element) is a classic and indulgent combo that says Easter and/or Christmas – both spiritual holidays so the addition of Chartreuse is obvious. As this Eggs-cellent cocktail was made for Easter it had to have some chocolate so I added chocolate bitters.

Liked this much more than the Creme Egg Cocktail, if I am going to compare cadbury egg garnish cocktails. Thicker with the higher advocaat ratio and much more interesting flavors with the chartreuse and bitters (in my case aztec chocolate). Likely would stand up to the chocolate syrup rim better as well.

Unable to find advocaat in Seattle I used rompope (rum based) and substituted Bacardi Ocho Ańos for the cognac and Liquore Strega. Tasted great, still looking for that bottle of advocaat. Got a hunch Agavero might work well here with thr rompope.

Love this one. I have experimented with it a bit in the run up to xmas and discovered that it works great if you swap out chartreuse with strega

Also delicous with Spanish brandy. BTW, why there is no brandy from Spain around here?

Agreed. Perhaps not in this cocktail, but we have plenty from Spain in our cocktails led by sherry and Licor 43.
