History:

Adapted from the Cointreau Fizz- a cocktail comprising of 2 parts Cointreau, 1 part lime juice and 3 parts soda water, created in the early 1950s by Jean Lupoïu who was a famous Parisian bartender. The Cointreau Fizz is turned into the Fizz Spritz by swapping out and rebalancing the acidity of lime juice with that of dry white wine.

I tried with 4 cl. Muller Thurgau. More balanced.

I thought it was pretty good, but I also thought that the Cointreau dominated the cocktail. The sauvignon blanc I used has a pronounced tart apple note that I like - the orange of the Cointreau overwhelmed the apple and the sweetness of the Cointreau eliminated the tartness. I'll likely try a couple other spritzes before coming back to this.
