Serve in an Old-fashioned glass
5 fresh | Red grapes (seedless) |
1 oz | Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.) |
1 oz | Strucchi Red Bitter (Campari-style liqueur) |
2⁄3 oz | Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄2 oz | Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup) |
Garnish: Orange zest twist (discarded) & skewered red grapes
MUDDLE grapes in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into ice-filled glass.
A riff with rye whiskey punch on the very similar gin-based original Enzoni.
This riff on Vincenzo Ericco's original Enzoni is believed to have been created, circa 2012-13 by Richard Boccato for his Dutch Kills bar in Long Island, New York City, USA.
