Ingredients:
2 oz Light gold rum (1-3 year old molasses column)
12 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Syrup from Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

How to make:

BLEND all ingredients with half a 7oz scoop of crushed ice and serve in chilled glass.

History:

Created by yours truly. This was one of the two cocktails with which I won a Havana Club Daiquiri competition in 2002. It is named after Girolamo Luxardo, creator of Luxardo Maraschino liqueur. Lux is also Latin for light.

Made it, sipped some, was great, blended it, ruined lol. need ice in oz weight or OZ volume, unsure how big your scoop is.

This is really good! I added mandarine juice, as it was a bit strong at the time, and sprinked some nutmeg on top. Cheers!

Being a big rum drinker (we have over 20 different types in our drinks cabinet), we both loved this. We did it over the rocks as neither of us like blended drinks, but it was great. A bit strong on the rocks, but that is OK. Went perfectly with our Mexican dinner. Would definitely do again.
