Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
2 12 oz Vanilla rum/vanilla-infused light rum
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Monin Vanilla Syrup
1 oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

Reminiscent of a Hemingway Special, this flavoursome, vanilla-laced Daiquiri has a wonderfully tangy, bittersweet finish.

Simple, doesn't require much, and delicious.
I used the Rum I had which was - Plantation 3 Stars rum (not vanilla infused)

We didn't have any vanilla infused white rum, but used a drop of vanilla extract (not essence, cannot abide the synthetic flavour/smell, it reminds me of sugar chemistry in the lab when I was doing my chemistry degree, benzaldehyde is used as a protecting agent !). This was one of our more favourite grapefruit containing cocktails.
