Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
4 inch Lemongrass stem chopped
2 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
1 12 oz Rhubarb syrup (from tinned rhubarb)
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
× 1 1 serving

Garnish: Lemongrass

How to make:

MUDDLE lemongrass in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

Fragrant, exotic lemon flavours combine well with rhubarb to make a surprisingly refreshing drink.

Would this work making a homemade rhubarb simple syrup ? (1:1 water:sugar) i'm pretty sure we don't have tinned rhubard sold here.

Just to check, is this really supposed to be 45ml of rhubarb syrup? That's a hefty whack of sugar... Or is my homemade syrup just a little over concentrated?

Took me a while to find the original recipe which was new to our volume 3 book published in 2003. Yes, 45ml of rhubarb syrup but "light syrup" from tinned rhubarb. I've corrected above. I now need to acquire a tin to try the cocktail.
