Serve in a Sling glass
1 oz | Hayman's London Dry Gin |
1⁄2 oz | Heering Cherry Liqueur |
1⁄4 oz | Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur |
1⁄4 oz | Cointreau triple sec liqueur |
4 oz | Pineapple juice |
1⁄2 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄4 oz | Monin Grenadine Syrup |
1 dash | Angostura Aromatic Bitters |
Top up with | Thomas Henry Soda Water |
Garnish: Lemon slice & cherry on stick (sail)
SHAKE first eight ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. TOP with soda, lightly stir and serve with straws.
Tangy and very fruity.

The Raffles formula is decidedly sweeter and has a stronger pineapple taste; foam and mouthfeel is excellent - it's an amazing tropical, complex cocktail.
IMHO, it doesn't need soda and is best enjoyed without (!).
The DeGroff recipe is more tart and not as suave.
Guess it comes down to preference, but for me this is the better/best Singapore Sling.
