Method:

Take 1/4 a vanilla pod and cut along its length. MUDDLE this in the base of a shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

I did the low budget version of this, and quite liked it! I had neither vanilla bean nor vanilla-flavored vodka, so I followed the recipe as specified but minus the muddling and instead adding approx 10ml vanilla extract. Delicious, served ice cold! I imagine it'd be fantastic with real vanilla bean.

This is literally vanilla ice cream in a glass, but less sweet. What the hell. A very extravagant drink for sure.

We loved this cocktail but we did use less sugar syrup
