History

Adapted from a recipe created in 2002 by Tony Conigliaro at The Lonsdale bar in London, England. Originally made using prosecco and elderflower cordial but now mostly made with elderflower liqueur and often champagne.

Review

It's hard to believe this floral, dry, light golden tipple is so loaded with alcohol. Go easy twinkle toes!

I got this recipe from the internet because it wasn't in the
16th edition Difford's.
I only had Reyka vodka but paired it with St Germain elderflower, and a good brut Aussie sparkling.
I like the result (oh yes, boozy, but it's NYE). Personally I'd like it drier and less floral, so a different vodka or less St Germain?

Try less St Germain - perhaps 10ml.

Wow, this is great. Hits all the marks. Easy to drink and boozy without being unpleasant. Not for the faint of heart, but what a great drink.

I found the alcoholic hit a bit too much, but the elderflower tasted good with the fizz.
