Ready,, Camera,, Action.. Oh, no flambe :( I used Giffard Menthe Pastile, Wray & Nephew & Tia Maria. I guess the extra 10% from the Galliano Espresso makes all the difference

Did you tip the glass to near horizontal when trying to light?

Surely too low proof to flambé? Especially swirled rather than floated. Didn't ignite for myself. Good digestif though after a three course meal and espresso. Working better than the single measure of Calvados did.

I just re-tried and flamed for me using Giffard Menthe Pastille (24% alc./vol.), Wray & Nephew overproof rum (63%) and Galliano Espresso/Ristretto (30%). You need to move the glass to near horizontal when holding the flame to the cocktail to ignite. And I agree, a good digestif, better than the previous 3-out-of-4 rating so I have promoted it to a 4.
