Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
2 12 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
12 oz British bitter ale
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered Fragata Green Olive wrapped in bacon.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with bacon wrapped olive.

That garnish ranks up there with the best of them. But I would opt for a blue cheese-filled olive instead... The drink itself, ooh ugh... What bitter are we suggesting here? My homebrew version (which I used) is close to a Coniston Bluebird Bitter, but just more Burton-y bitter. Maybe a Fuller's ESB or something as or more malt-rich would be preferable?
