This was delicious. Just the right amount of sour to sweet and a good taste of rum throughout. Our grenadine is from a small batch maker and closer to homemade than most others. Overall a very nice drink.

The first sip is lovely however the finishing taste is sour. A bit to lemon for me. Many people might prefer this.

I have a problem with Giffard Grenadine Syrup and its candyish taste that tends to dominate its surroundings, so I usually cut the suggested amount to half, or in some cocktails even to one third. To balance the lemon juice in this drink I added 10 ml Monin cane sugar syrup. The end result was very good — I gave it a 4.
