This is a new favorite in my house. Rather than calling it overly floral though, I would argue it is a little sparse on dimensional flavor. I'm going to try again by swapping either 1/4oz of gin or Creme de Violette for ginger liquor for a bit of seasoning.

Was a little skeptical at first with a full oz of the violet liqueur but was actually really impressed, made a second with 3/4oz and I think the original was better. Made it with a local gin from Edmonton, Lone Pine Distillery's Rocky Mountain Gin and it was perfect as always.

As above this is overly floral, so I added a couple of dashes of chocolate bitters which I think provides an extra dimension the original is missing.
