Ingredients:
1 12 oz Rémy Martin V.S.O.P. cognac
12 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Honey syrup (3 parts honey to 1 water by weight)
14 oz Monin Ginger Syrup
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon slice wheel..
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with lemon slice wheel.

Similar enough to a Pencillin, but just lacks edge. I would consider at least cutting up some slices of ginger and muddle them into the tin before shaking. Maybe a small pinch of black pepper as well... Now my mind is trailing off thinking of subtle accents, hmm...

Didn't try the cocktail yet, but this is a cold version of the Hot Toddy recipe I give my dad when he's ill, even down to the split base of honey and ginger syrup.

Tried it, and I was mostly correct. Pretty delicious, if simple. Could be a refreshing aperitif or a drink to end the night. Beautiful.
