I love the basil, but found the Grappa on the heavy side. I’m not an expert by any means, but I’ve tried other drinks with fresh basil that I like much more. I’m still getting used to grappa, but this is a good drink.

By all means have a Gin Basil Smash late morning with brunch or later with lunch. But being deeper and more mysterious, this one needs to wait until the Sun is dipping towards the horizon. And take it more slowly for the Grappa. Delicious.
