Serve in a Sling glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Rémy Martin V.S.O.P. cognac
23 oz Akashi-Tai Shiraume Ginjo Umeshu
56 oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
23 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Monin Ginger Syrup
16 oz Honey
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Sling glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of mint sprig & dehydrated apple slice..
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Review:

Long and refreshing with subtle flavours of apple, lemon, ginger and plum wine combining well with the cognac base.

As with all recipes including honey, dissolve in the main spirit first, before shaking with ice.

I was missing the apple juice so take my comments with a pinch of salt but... complex. It grew on me.

I was too at first. My original notes were "an interesting flavor, but not that enjoyable. " The apple juice made a massive difference; I think the dryness from unsweetened apple helped to balance the drink.
