FAIL-SAFE
Scot Teague, 2013
Some drinks are just happy accidents. One night I saw several bottles sitting next to each other behind the bar, and I thought, Why not? I started playing around with them in Negroni proportions, and it worked.–ST
¾ ounce Perry's Tot Navy-strength Gin
¾ ounce Plymouth Sloe Gin
¾ ounce Aperol
½ ounce Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Stir all the ingredients over ice, then strain into double rocks glass over 1 large ice cube. No garnish.

Death & Co. Modern Classic Cocktails, 2014

Review

There are delicate and pleasing floral notes to this complex, well-balanced riff on a Negroni.
